Long Term Solutions and Questions for Children
I'm suggesting these ideas should first be considered and their validity tested by common sense and experience.
I may be wrong about some things in the sections on empathy for animals Chapters 4-7, but before anyone can be sure of that, we need a consensus of opinion from small children, when asked by their parents : where does your breath come and go? Where do smells go in your body? What can you taste in your body? (see Chapters 4 5 6 7).
We need a series of games to encourage a child's natural broadband sensing abiltities, before they get overpowered with all the focussed learning children do.
At present to start with, parents who are interested could just ask questions, showing an interest would stimulate any child's awareness of broadband sensing and body awareness. They would encourage children to keep in touch with this inborn sense of reality.
I'm suggesting at the same time as, and as a result of taking an interest and questioning children, these ideas be educated and encouraged by parents and teachers from an early age, so that small children never forget their sense of awareness – to develop a realistic sense of self, and AS A BALANCE for the emphasis on focussing and learning, - and the consequent emphasis on developing our free individual creativity, ideas and opinions, - with the consequent insatiable, almost addictive need to always confirm and reconfirm our beliefs in such a diverse culture.
Contact is welcome with anyone, but particularly parents with young children who could help develop a natural and practical way of questioning children, - without them even starting to ask us for the answers.
Questions for Children : (needs time and help to develop)
When does your child start covering his ears, and then maybe playing peek-a-boo with hearing?
2 yrs. What do you see with your eyes closed? draw it.
2yrs. (?) (before a child learns anything about 'my beating heart') - where is the beating strongest?
I would love parents now to ask their two to ten year olds: "when you breathe, where does the breath go in your body?" They need to be asked lying down, standing, and after running.
Various games could be developed to stimulate the vision, maybe even a machine which projects random laser colours at points on the peripherie, first slowly, then just a split second, the game is to recognise the colour.
Distances, wavelengths and directions of sound and smell could be encouraged with aetheric oils and just listening out for surprises, imagining we're all early man sitting on a hill top, listening for wild boar, mammoths and snakes.
Instead of asking a group of children to be silent, ask them : who can hear the first dog bark or pidgeon cooing?
And then another area of development, the other leg of the navigators triangulation of reality: the inner body sense. I'm sure there must already be exercises encouraging this. This is not my speciality ,just as in meditation there are hundreds of methods more valid than mine, but for completion it must be mentioned.
And one idea i have is that I think, (?) every child has the fantasy of lots of little people, organising their bodies. I remember imagining these little people moving around and doing things with their hands. No-one ever encouraged it.
So i'd like to ask children about their little people and what they are all doing inside their bodies? And i'd like to ask things like, can they see, hear, smell and taste.: if not, maybe we can encourage it.
Can you listen inside your own body, is it very quiet there or are there any noises, for example after eating? And can you taste inside your own body, how does it taste on your lips or under your tongue, or the roof of your mouth, and can you taste down in your belly, and how does it feel? sweet, dry, salty, or like walnuts?. And can you see inside your body, how do the bones look, how does your stomach look, how does your skin look from the inside?
